FTB–Cougars Demolish the Aggies
You can only imagine the joy that the seniors had last night on their last home game as they destroyed the Aggies of New Mexico State University. The seniors played a fantastic game. They scored three of six touchdowns: Matthew Edwards (#12), Matt Marshall (#19), and Bryan Kariya (#33). In the first quarter, senior linebacker, Jadon Wagner (#49) forced a fumble and recovered another in the game with four tackles. Senior linebacker, Jameson Frazier (#48), forced a recovered a fumble and the Cougars capitalized on that for a touchdown. Junior defensive back, Preston Hadley (#7), matched the team high of seven tackles! After an interception by the Aggies, they scored, tying the game up 7-7. The game really started to get intense now. The Cougars found this unacceptable and decided to leave this quarter with there score higher than the Aggies. Ross Apo (#11) scored two touchdowns, now putting BYU up by 14 points. The first half ended 21-7 with the Cougars in the lead. In the third quarter, the seniors continue to perform with a touchdown by senior receiver, Matt Marshall (#19), but the seniors weren't done yet. The senior tight end, Matthew Edwards (#89) went in for an incredible touchdown. Jake Heaps hiked the ball and took it to the left. He added a bit of a side juke and drove it to Edwards who was wide open, no man to guard him. The Cougars closed up the game with one more touchdown by sophomore wide receiver JD Falslev. The game turned out to transform the Edwards Stadium into a slaughter house. The final score was 42-7 BYU. Tune in for the next game against the Warriors of the University of Hawai‘i. I can't wait because I'm going to go to this game, so I'll be there to witness it live! I'm also going to get to meet some of the players the day before in a fireside. Don't miss the next game on December 3 at 2:30 P.M. HST.
