MBKB–Cougars Take Victory Against BYUH
The Cougars took the victory against the BYU-Hawai'i Seasiders Tuesday night at the Marriott Center. From the beginning, the Cougars controlled the game 13-0, eight made by Brandon Davies (#0), two from Charles Abouo (#1), and a three-pointer from Brock Zylstra (#13). Thought they took a far lead, the game was still under the radar for almost three and a half minutes before anybody scored. The 13-point run was finally broken up by a three pointer, leaving BYU to score nine more points before the Seasiders would see a change on their score board. Thats when BYU-Hawai'i scored which was followed by the biggest lead of the half–26 points. The Seasiders really picked up their game, now keeping up with the Cougars in the scoring rate, but the Cougars picked up their game as well now resulting in a fifteen point lead. The Seasiders couldn't keep up with Davies and the rest of the Cougars, which resulted them to lose by 21. The final score was 73-52 Cougars. Brandon Davies was on fire and lead the game with a career high of 25 points. He scored 10 out of 13 field goals and 5 out of 6 free throws. Following Davies in the offense was Noah Hartstock with 14 points in the game. Hartstock was constantly sinking the free throws and scored 6 out of 6 attempts. Congratulations Cougars on the victory! Don't miss the next game as the Cougars take on the Lancers of Longwood in the Chicago Invitationals on their own home court. Tune in on Friday, November 18 at 4:00 P.M. HST to catch the game.
